We visit family in Chilliwack regularly & make a point of having mexican at the Jolly Miller every time. Good mexican at reasonable prices.
We find the food is decent but we usually just order their very cheap nightly specials! We don't have mire than 1 drink when we go and I'm sure if we were spending more on booze, service would be much better in anticipation of a good tip! If you want great service, there's plenty of restaurants in the area for that. If you want a casual place to go with your hubby and eat for cheap and not have to get dolled up, this is your pub!
The Miller is the best pub in the Wac. Great food, great servers and just a fun place to go and I'm 61! For those who didn't like it there take my advice, I doubt you could get good food or service anywhere you go. Stay home and make everyone happy.
Waitresses are dressed to sleazy and ours was only wanting to get my guys attention after awhile when he would not looked at him she leaned over to obviously let him look down her top. She burped when she came and yes was not very classy at all. I think the place smells like a cat sprayed or peed in it. the Wings taste good but the waitress was very annoying loud and in the guys face pretty much ignoring the females. Maybe they think the guys give the tips they would be surprised if they knew he was paying. Probably just trying to grab sleazy attention. I think Owner should class his waitress's up it has been sleazy for years. I know he he is though and well that is him. Not saying much for the bar or the waitresses to have to get guys in like that. I won't go back.
Taco night is awesome!
The Jolly Miller is our favourite Pub in Chilliwack. The food is typical pub fare and it is consistently good quality. There are nightly specials every day and seasonal specials such as Turkey dinner at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Greek salad is the best around. True, it's not fine dining but for a pub, it's great and very good value for the Money. I can sympathize with a previous reviewer about Tuesday night (wing night). The wings are huge and the Miller gets slammed with people wanting to order them. Yes, service can be slow when the place is full and everyone has ordered wings. My advice for Tuesday nightws is come early and order early. In my opinion, the servers are the best of any pub in the area. They work very hard and are great people.
i have been there a number of times and been ignored everytime as i guess iam not a beer drinker so iam ignored the food is just awful i sent back scallops because they were cold and what i got back was calamari i sent that back and 15 minutes later they gave me burnt scallops
I was very disappointed. It was my birthday, first night out alone with my husband since our baby was born. Service was slow and there was no deep fried foods. Apparently on Tuesdays, due to the 'wings' special, there are no fries, or onion rings or any deep fried food available other than wings. I was not impressed.
